PULSAR MET-AL is a two-component epoxy composite in the form of a paste, the so-called “LIQUID ALUMINUM”, for responsible repairs primarily of aluminum elements, but also made of non-ferrous metals, steel and cast iron. It contains aluminum powder and mineral fillers that increase strength parameters and coefficient of thermal expansion compared to pastes based on steel fillers and better heat dissipation. The resin is characterized by good adhesion to glued materials, high resistance to temperatures (up to +180°C), corrosion resistance and resistance to fuels (diesel oil, gasoline and kerosene), lubricants, engine and machine oils, coolants, ethanol, nitric acid, salt and vinegar (10%), amines, ammonia (20%), hot water and sea water. The paste is thixotropic, i.e. it does not flow from vertical surfaces.
APPLICATION
- PULSAR MET-AL is used to repair casting defects in castings made of aluminum and its alloys, cast steel and non-ferrous metals, to rebuild cut threads and key grooves, to fill dents in aluminum tanks, to repair radiators and aluminum rims.
- PULSAR MET-AL also has good adhesion to most substrates (metals, glass, stone, concrete, wood and some rigid plastics). It is not recommended to use the product in constant contact with oxygen, phenols and chlorine.
PRACTICAL TIPS
- Prepare the surface by removing dirt, paint residues, rust and other contaminants by sandblasting, grinding or other mechanical treatment.
- Blow out the remains of dirt and degrease the surface, preferably with a PULSAR remover selected according to the type of surface (e.g. metal, plastic, glass).
- Measure the ingredients and mix thoroughly on a prepared separate plate (two portions of component A and one portion of component B). Apply the material in layers: rub the first (thin) layer well into the substrate. Remove air bubbles next time.
